I know exactly what you mean.
If I had a Mustang or Firebird . . .I would have killed myself several times
over I'm sure.
On the other hand . . .I certainly cared for and revered my Triumph more than I
did other cars.
(Bought a Pacer for $25 as a disposable car when the Triumphs weren't running.
Talk about rough treatment.)
Even after I killed my first TR-4, I kept as much of its remains as I could
manage at the time. And it has been an organ doner and in some senses lives
on.
