Along similar lines, has anyone ever encountered a really, truly stuck filler
or drain plug on, say, a TR4 gearbox case? Presumably the "dissimilar metals"
effect comes into play here? In fairness, I should add that my situation was
one of trying to find a better drain plug (not all rounded off), locating same
on a stripped TR4 gearbox case, but then not being able to remove it. Rather
than futz with it, I simply continued to scrounge in the barn (the advantage of
having many parts cars and even more parts) until I found one I could remove
easily.
