A query for the list:
(Hey -- stop with the "queerie" jokes already. This is serious.)
I've got a '73 GT6 in pretty nice shape, to which I've made some simple
mods; elec. ignition, electric fan, panasports, etc. It's also got the
tall "touring" diff gear, which drives me nuts, because it robs so much
low end power from the car.
I know the solution to this is get the lower diff and O/D gearbox, but
let's pretend that's not an option.
I like low end torque. Can changing out the cam make a significant
difference in boosting the low end? My poor understanding of cams is
that you usually change them out to boost the high end, not the low, but
I was wondering.
