Those two things don't usually go together so I was wondering if there is a "typical" reason why an engine with good and consistent compression (~145) would blow blue smoke at the upper rpms? It would seem to me that if I've got a bad oil ring, in #2 cylinder, then I would have other issues as well that would lead to bad compression. But that's not the case. Makes me wonder what else I'll find when the engine comes apart. R.
