It's obvious from here that it's a combination of short bubble turbulence
and high altitude air density problems that are causing the heightened state
of anxiety that your speedo is experiencing. Loosening the knob will help
(much like loosening your collar when you are stressed) but the real cure
might involve a touch of lubrication or Christmas spirit. It obviously
responded well to the presence of the tree.
