Don't ever ignore the sound of a loose/wobbly pulley. Many years ago, I did. Big noise! It hit the fan and bent it into the radiator and banged around elsewhere for a few seconds. The results - new fan, re-cored radiator, inner fender dent, bonnet dent. It was the only time I was stranded and had to walk for help. Mark A.
