Just got back to Dallas from a trip to Kansas to pick up a motor for my TR6
to rebuild for my car. This way, I can rebuild while driving.
And speaking of driving...
Last weekend I took the 6 down to the hill country. I hit San Antonio for
lunch, then headed over to Luckenbach for a cold one and to sit in on an
impromptu concert. I drove through a little town called Oatmeal to take
pictures for a web magazine, and then back to Burnet to stay at my sisters
lake house. There are lots of great twisty roads around there. I got lots of
compliments on the car as usual, even though it is in need of a rebuild and
tune up. That's one thing I like about it, it's always a good conversation
piece. All in all, I put about 800 mile on it last weekend, and the only
problem I had was a leaky clutch slave which was giving me problems before I
left. What a great weekend, sunburn and all!
