Bill, I literally use the same grease (lithium with MoS2) in my TR3A wheel
bearings and wiper motor, seems to work fine (not that I use the wipers all
that much here in SoCA).  Be sure to pull the large gear out and lube it's
shaft.  It's also worth checking the voltage at the motor terminals.  There
may be a 'tired' connection somewhere, or even a corroded wire.

Another thing to check : the factory wipers deliberately have a fairly low
(by modern standards) force between the wiper blades and the windshield.  If
yours have been replaced with higher force arms, that may be part of the
problem.

Last, with the motor disconnected from the rack and the wipers lifted off
the windshield, try moving the rack by hand.  If it doesn't move with a
modest amount of finger pressure, the problem may be in the rack or the
wiper heads.  Even a small ding in the tube can slow things down
significantly.
