Like all things... It depends.
If it is from a early TR6 (up to 1973 not sure) that used the A-Type OD...
your OK. In that case everything will line up. The input shaft on those TR6
Gearboxes was a little shoter... they stand up straight without standing on
the shaft end. But list experts say you can use them without problems.
If it is from a post 1973 TR6 then it will have a J-Type OD which is fine
expect that you will have to find a way to mate to the TR4A frame. The J-Type
uses a different mount and the mounting point is father along the unit.
Phil Brzozoski here on the list designed a simple set of adapter plates that
lets you mount a J-Type in a car that is setup for an A-Type without cutting
and welding.
