Fred and List:
I never question Fred's observations and TA, but I just had my
TR3 engine rebored to take the 87 mm pistons. I asked about
"break in" and was told this was true in the older days but
the precision of the boring is so good today (with an up
to date machine shop) that this is no longer needed. The
only instructions I was given was to change the oil after
500 miles. I asked a respected mechanic of these
instructions and he confirmed what I was told.
