A bit behind in my replies , as usual , but welcome to the list David .
AFAIK there should be a body coloured fabric type beading ( not chrome )that
is very similar to the beadings used on old VW Beetles .
Hope that helps a bit .

Subject: TR2 restart
Hi - I'm new to the list,
I have a 54 TR2 long door (TS3388L),
4. When I took the cowling/apron off, there was no beading between the
cowling/apron and the wings. Is there supposed to be on my model? I
checked Piggot's book, and I couldn't tell, except that it is not chrome.
The rear wings have beading, but it does not extend beyond the junction of
the wings and the body, and is barely noticeable. I wouldn't even describe
it as beading - it looks more like a gasket.
