Listers,

Problem is weak TR6 brakes. High pedal pressure and 1/2 pedal with braking
like a '50 Ford. I can lock up the wheels, but only with a great effort.

Work thus far:

1. new vacuum unit
2. rebuilt front caliper with s/s pistons and new kits
3. new rear wheel cylinders
4. new front hoses
5. bled brake system several times. No present evidence of air bubbles.
Castrol LMA.
6. Adusted rear brakes
7. Rotors and drums are in perfect condition. New front pads.

What gives?

Can a faulty m/c give this kind of result? If so, how? Please explain?

Has anyone on this list had a similar problem with a rebuilt system? How was
it fixed.

The escape path for entrapped air doesn't seem straightforward, especially
in the out pistons of the front calipers. Any comment on how the air is
replace by hydraulic fluid?
Magic? Talked to a friend who had exactly the same problem with his TR250.
Driving time and rebleeding apparently solved the problem. Why?
