I just finished re-doing my front brakes. I put in stainless pistons, new
pads and all new hardware. Before doing the brakes, there was a rubbing noise
on the left front like a pad was dragging. One side of the rotor was chewed up
and the pad was worn more than the other side.
Now, with everything new, there is still the rubbing/dragging noise. I
have checked the shims and the caliper appears centered. When you spin the
other wheel, it turns and turns. When you do the front left, it drags and turns
a bit and stops.
The inner wheel bearing has a little clunk to it and will be changed out
when the new bearings arrive. However, with the caliper removed the wheel spins
very freely.
Any suggestions or ideas?
