You could get a "generic" choke cable, route it to the TR valve and hide the
pull/push under the dash. At least that way you wouldn't be putting
sprinkler parts on your TR.

Yes, but then you'd need to attach a cable to it and mount it and mount
the cable end somewhere. Probably just adding a home hot water valve
would be easiest.
