Adrian, I made up some 9mm thick spacers for my wheels and found that this was too thick. The nut was almost flush with the end of the stud which doesn't have threads on the last .60-.80". I reduced the thickness to .250" (about 6.3mm) and about 1-11/2 threads extend beyond the nut with no interference problems withthe wire wheel.
