Dave,
I was able to pop the face plate out carefully and finagle it past the needle
on a couple small TR4 gauges..
But also with a #0000 brush (we're talking tiny) sable brush and white paint
was able to touch up some lettering and #s fairly well. When people put nose
to glass I want them to be able to read: Made in England.

Has anyone had any experience in how to go about swapping the black face plate
on the Jaeger gauges. I installed a nice working fuel gauge but the white
lettering and marks are a little faded on one side and I have real nice one
I'd like to swap. I would think you need to bend the needle up a bit to get it
in and out of the slots? Is that safe? How far can I bend the needle without
srewing things up? Or is there a safer way? TIA
