Mine just leans against the wall resting on some dense foam. It is secured
with a piece of rope wrapped in an old towel. Takes up very little space.
You could hang it from the rafters with rope and pulleys. Get a couple of
lengths of pipe insulation (foam tubes slit on one side) to spread the load
and protect the paint. Hang it top side up if you have climbing rodents as
they will be less inclined to use it as a nest site that way. I find that
the KISS principle works best when approaching such things.
