Greg,
The VTR National is much more than a 1 day car show. It is often referred to 
as the "North American Triumph Challenge."  It draws Triumph enthusiasts from 
all over the country and Canada who participate in various driving events 
over a four day period. It is hosted by local VTR chapters whose members work 
very hard to pull it off.  RMTC did a great job last year.

I suspect the reason you were turned away is that VTR requires that all 
entrants in the car show must first complete a driving event to qualify.
