With all the talk about broken crankshafts on the four cylinder TRactor engine
,
how many people have actually broken one or more ?
I admit to breaking one back in 1971 . The engine was completely stock ( not
balanced ) with stock fan and the car was driven relatively hard without
exceeding 5k rpm .
I believe that the reason for this breakage was excessive wear in the rear main
bearing .
Anyone else ?
