Hi Larry
I don't know whether you have done an out of the frying pan and into the
fire job, but the Triumph Dolomite 1300 and 1500 had the fuel line routed
round the back of the engine, across behind the rocker cover. One of the
most recurrent problems is fuel vaporisation, and the cure is to route the
fuel line as on the early cars like 1300 Herald, 1500 Spit and 2000 & 2500
Saloons across the front of the waterpump housing, this invariably cures the
problem! Did you leave some slack to account for differential movement
between the engine and body?

Graham.

i asked > 'how hot is hot and then won't start'
<< from fuel pump
output it was routed and held in place right below and in front of
thermostat
(where it is nice and hot). i rerouted it back from fuel pump to firewall,
across firewall and along top of carbs to fuel input to carbs. started
numerous times when fully warmed / hot
