The stuff you want is Novus plastic polish. You can read about it at
http://www.noscratch.com/novus/
and buy it at any motorcycle shop. It's a 3-part system, and not cheap, but
all my motorcycle buddies swear by it. Motorcycle shops tend to be
expensive, so a little web searching will probably turn up a cheaper
mail-order source.
If the Novus is a little much for your pocketbook, Meguiars offers a 2-part
system for about 1/2 the price.
Most likely, nothing will make your sidecurtains look like new again, but
these should at least let you see through them.
