IMO the solution is to undo the mounts and jack the engine, but only once,
while you replace the motor mounts. While you're at it, put in a couple of
TR3-type shims.
Also, NAPA sells a belt that is considerably thinner and more flexible than
the last one I got from Moss. It's cogged, so it doesn't look exactly
original, but it works quite well and even seems to last longer.
