I had a 65 Corsa coupe. 140 hp, sodium cooled exhaust valves, 4 single
throat carbs on a progressive linkage. Everything but the turbo charger that
the spider variant had.
Great car except they didn't put a proper spoiler on the front end. Got a
little light at about 115 mph. Was a true bargain sporty car.
You are right about the oil leaks. The worst was when the o rings sealing
the push rod tubes failed. Oil leaked in to the heat exchanger and when you
turned the heater on, voluminous clouds of oily smoke filled the passenger
compartment!
As to the counter rotation... now I understand why my owners manual was
written in Spanish, Portuguese, Zulu Afrikaans and Australian.
