Well, it's a few days early for April Fools Day so...

I would think the expression "one to one" pretty well sums it up 
unless your engine has experienced a particularly "interesting" 
failure mode.  (Back in the 70's one of the bright stars of the 
current SCCA races, whose name I've totally forgottten but may have 
been Peter Gregg or someone else of that generation, once explained 
that he'd dropped out of a race because of "electrical failure - a 
connecting rod cut the battery strap.")  The valve gear and the dizzy 
run at half of the crank rate, but I can't see why you'd call either 
of them "Engine RPM".  But then, what do I know?  Maybe my calendar 
is running late! :-)
