Popping out of extreme lurk for a quickie, I am presently rebuilding my
transmission in my 1962 TR4. The detent spring for 3-4 is smashed, I need a
new one. I'm assuming it is identical to the reverse detent spring, which
looks fine. Can't get it locally, even the sports-car resto place drew a
blank. The spring looks like thus:

Measurements are: Length: 0.850" Diameter: 0.270" OD 0.158" ID
Wire gauge is 0.054". Ten and a half coils, or so. I haven't measured the
spring force at all.
Someone must have one of these in a parts bin or trashed tranny, I'd be most
obliged if I could get one. Or two. I will gladly pay postage and / or swap
for something interesting !
