My replacement one would not fit as well a few years ago. I used a grinder
to make it fit. I have another "non-doctored" one for the concours tool
roll if I ever make it that far on the restoration. Also, one of the
standard flat screw drivers works nicely in a pinch. Can't remember which
size though.

I would think "not" normal, I have an original 44 years old and no
rounded corners. Triple-C sells the " shorty" version if you care
for ta substitute.
