Paul,
Check out the attached photos.....I'm installing speakers in each front
footwell panel (kick panels)....6 1/2" units. This option would be a little
more time consuming than a rear panel installation but the sound is worth the
effort IMHO. I also had a great opportunity to cut holes in the panels since
my 6 is a total frame-off restoration project. But, you should be able to
cut the holes and fashion the "stove pipe" collar from the inside without
much trouble - just take care when drilling and cutting the hole - you'll
have a wing on the other side which I didn't have when I cut:)
