I have 1/4" ID hoses and they are very snug but I think adding some clamps
would make me feel better.
I do have fuel injection clamps which are solid bands and are clamped using
a bolt and nut. I think this will look clean. I will post pics when
complete.

Subject: Correct I.D. Fuel Line Hose
David,
It is my opinion that you do not need clamps on fuel line hose if you can
find the correct size hose. I have them on my TR3B that I have been running
since 1993 with no problems and no fuel leaks. The problem is that I find
the
correct size is extremely difficult to find nowadays. To the best of my
knowledge the major parts companies do not supply hose with the correct
inside diameter for a tight fit anymore. Sometimes they will supply hose
that is way wrong and is a problem even if you use clamps. Do any of the
other listers know where to get the correct hose? I am going to say it is 8
mm I.D. but I am not sure on this. I just think the cars look better without
a bunch of extra clamps underhood. For sure there are not any deductions
being made for clamps in Concours but being a purist I think we still should
have the right size available to us.
