Yeah, that's what I thought too. So I replaced the whole dizzy with a spare
known to be good -- no change. Then the coil was replaced with a spare (did
this along the road with the engine hot, cool replacement bungeed to the
mounted coil -- no change). Then topped up the oil just for luck -- walla!
Repeated the oil thing on the road on a second drive (with original dizzy &
coil) to assure myself this was not coincidence. This was the trial & error
process I mentioned.
