check out Bob's CNC manufactured custom dashes.
http://hometown.aol.com/trdashes/
He can make them from solid wood (any type you like)
or he makes birch plywood blanks you can veneer
yourself, or he'll veneer them for you. BEAUTIFUL work and
good prices.
When I was doing my custom dash in Whitey..

Bob had told me it would be a week or three before he'd be able
to get an example of my 3 gauge layout 'mocked up'.
Less than a week later at the Carlisle PA Import show he had in hand
a fully completed wood dash, laid out the way I wanted the gauges
completed as an example for me. Perfect dimensions...
(considering it came off a computer controlled milling machine.)
Nice guy...good prices good work! Mention my name if
you do contact him.

Subject: RE: Dash finishes
The difference between the Moss ones and the prestige dashes is price, time and
quality.
-Cost- The prestige ones cost about 50% more (depending on what wood you
choose)...he makes each one by hand (so he can do LHD, RHD, etc),
-time- since the operation (ive never seen his shop, just talked to him on the
phone) seems very much to be "one california ex hippy in a woodshop" (and I
mean that as a good thing) it is very slow. He has no website. You just talk
to him on hte phone, then he mails you some sample photos, you talk some more,
then send him a check, and thn 3+ months later you get your dash. He does the
dashes in batches of car type (a bunch of TR4s, then a different LBC, etc). So
your timing depends on how long until your car batch comes up next.
-Quality- ive seen my dash in detail, and the moss and original ones at car
shows- the prestige one is lightyears nicer- fantastic quality wood,
