Here's a rule to apply the next time you get stopped:
If you get a lecture, the cop can't issue a ticket. If he is going to give you
a ticket then he can't give you a lecture too.
So the next time you get stopped and the cop starts to lecture you, stop him
and ask if he is going to write you a ticket. If he says "Yes" then
explain the rule to him and ask for the ticket so you can be on your way!
