I am replacing the brake shoes on my TR6 and have a question. All four shoes
appear to be identical. The old shoes were installed so that the slot for
the handbrake lever on the rear shoe was at the bottom. I could not tell
from my Bently manual whether or not this was correct. So I installed the
new shoes as the old ones were. They fit OK, but drag a bit even with the
adjuster fully out. Now, I just had a look at the Roadster Factory book and
it does not picture the rear shoe with the slot on the bottom.

Which way is correct? Or does it matter either way? I was getting some
chatter from the rear shoes on hard braking and wonder if this was the
reason.

Thanks in advance.
