Hi guys,
I think I did a stupid thing.
After fitting a new friction disc on the flywheel face, I tried to attach the
pressure plate assembly with 5/16-24 bolts. The bolts didn't want to go.
The engine had been done for some time and I just recently began
re-assembling to the chassis.
Thinking that the holes were gummed up from being idle so long, I ran a tap
through them. Of course I did ALL the holes.
When I blasted WD in the holes to clear them, I noticed that chips came out.
I've reassembled the clutch but I think I might have inadvertantly changed
5/16-18 to 5/16-24.
Did I????......and if I did, will I have a problem????.....should I look for
another flywheel?
Thanks for your help on this one.
