The hub-axle connection is usually unholy tight on a solid axle car
(assuming you're not talking about a pre-TS13046 one). Trying to press it
apart with pressure on the bearing housing (the piece that gets bolted to
the axle tube) will almost certainly ruin the housing, and not get the hub
off. Many (most ?) people that try pressing on the hub, or using a
conventional "3-arm" hub puller, have also found it bends and ruins the hub
! You may get lucky of course, but at $400/copy, do you really want to
take the chance ? Some have also reported that a 20 ton press was not
enough force.
My suggestion would be to find or make a replica of the original Churchill
hub puller tool. Tony Gordon (are you out there, Tony ?) drew up some
plans, and had a few copies made earlier this year. You might be able to
buy, beg or borrow one of those. British Tool Co.

Or, any British machine shop should have the tool, and be willing to pull
your hubs (for a price). I know Herman van den Akker has the tool
(handhvan@msn.com, (805) 526-9526) on the west coast, Brian Schlorff
probably does on the east coast (britcars@powerbritish.com, (610) 270-0505).
And there are lots of others, contact your favorite one, preferably close
by. Those axles are heavy, and shipping them around the country gets
expen$ive.
Then of course, you'll need a bearing separator and a press to get the inner
race off of the shaft...
