>Today I tried to install my new stereo in my TR-6 and it seemed pretty
straight forward. Purple is constant power(fused) and Green is Accessory
power(fused). Basically, from what I can see...only 3 wires are being used.
1 for constant power, 1 for accessory power and 1 for ground. I connected
all the wires, checked to make sure that they have power when they are
supposed to. Connected the ground. Plugged the battery with key in OFF
position, the oil warning light comes on, but very dim. When I switch to
accessory and back to OFF, the light turns off. But with all that
said...stereo does not turn on. I get no display.

Patrick, If this is a new stereo you must have some installation
instructions. Does it describe what wire goes where? Is one of those
three wires for the automatic antenna feature? What color are the three
wires? What make is the stereo?

Too many options to know what is wrong without more information. I've
installed three stereos in the last couple of years and the only problem
I've had is confusing the switched power and constant power and loosing all
my station presets when the key is switched off. (swapped wires resolved
that problem)
