Better yet take the tube off of the steering column. Screw at the top IIRC
and the lower end pressed into the dash panel- pull out. Then replace the
wiring and put the tube back on over it.

Charlie,

I did this with the wires on my TR4 and adding the OD switch.

Find a small flexible shaft... piano wire, RC airplane control rods,
hardware
store item.  Run the flexible rod up the conduit from under the dash and out
the opening for the switch.  Then tape the wires to the shaft with
electrical
tape.  Spray on a little soapy water solution if it is real tight.  Then
pull
the rod back out from under the dash and your done.  You may want to stagger
the three connectors to keep the package as slim as possible.
