I have on in my MKII.  If you mean where did I get it, I located it in a
u-pull it junk yard on a later model Spitfire.  If you mean in the car,
it's in the same location that it would be installed at the factory.  I did
have to fabricate a mounting bracket as the one required to mount this OD
in this frame is made from unobtainium - They were made, but only for a
couple of years and are very rare.  It was just easier to fabricate one
And I did have to get a transmission with the proper adapter, and shorten
the drive shaft, but basically a bolt in swap.  I also changed to the 3.89
rear that USA GT6's with overdrives were fitted with.  Made a HUGE
difference in the car, and I can see why it was considered a very
attractive option - I wouldn't by another British car without one -
