Hi all,

first i would like to thank all of the members who answered my everyday-question
so extensively. I'm keen to try to run it during winter, as often as conditions
will allow.
to the history of my car :
I've just started to research it. I ordered a certificate from British Heritage,
through the dealer I bought the car from, 6 weeks ago. It hasn't arrived yet.
So I don't know the importing US dealer yet, but can surely tell at a later
point of time. It is comission no. TCF1999LO built in 1962, as all the 3B's.
It was exported to Germany as far as I know in the beginning of the 90's. In
1995 it was undergoing a complete restauration. I bought it from a german
restauration garage after it had an extensive revision.

The actual problem I have is that it starts very bad after not driving 2 days.
The starter is a brand new starter from Mitsubishi. We have the correct adapter
available here. The battery is new as well. The motor configuration is original
with SU H6 carburetors. They are known to "drop" the fuel after a while, which
means the fuel slowly flows back to the tank. Due to the mechanical fuel pump
the starter has to run the engine until the fuel pump transported the fuel the
whole way back to the carburetors. But this, I think, is propably only one of
the possible reasons. I wonder if it gets better after installing an electric
fuel pump.

best regards
Thomas
