Some manufacturers warn to use phosphate-free antifreeze to prevent corrosion of
aluminum. On a list for one of these makes it is an ongoing discussion whether
this is valid or bunk. I am using that "Sierra" stuff in the vehicle I have
that
is so specified and also in the TR. Keeps its cool just fine in even the
hottest
weather -- I don't know if it is as effective at preventing corrosion in our old
iron blocks & heads.
