No, when reassembling, just hold the tie rod end into the steering arm, and
torque the nut to spec. (If the nut is a Nyloc instead of a castellated nut
with a cotter pin, it should be replaced every time.) This is a "locking
taper", and the job they do almost too well is to get as tight as necessary
to prevent all movement.
