I am nearing completion of my frame and running gear, and at this point my
body is in the air (I mean my TR3's body, not that I'm transcendental)
and soon I need to get started rebuilding the engine.
I had thought to do the motor, install it on the frame, drop the body back
on, then ship out the works for the body job.
I'm starting to second guess my intellectual process however. The body work
and paint in the engine bay would certainly be easier to do with no engine
in the way, but OTOH if I go that route there's a good opportunity to gouge
it up upon dropping the engine back in.
What have people done that they now view as either
a) the cleverest thing since the invention of toilet paper, or
b) the explanation for all that smacking of their foreheads with the heels
of their hands?
TIA,
Jim
