Just had it happen to me on my streetbike two weeks ago; drained some fluid
from the reservoir and all was good again.

Mike,  I doubt you will run across this problem on a car. most cars have
reservoir caps that are vented.  If you over fill tem they will force fluid
out of the vent onto the paintwork. Of course it's not very often you lay a
car down on its side.  <G>
