Try it Ron, you won't hurt it. . It's easier than thinking and you might
hurt your brain : >!! DC motors do exactly as you said. If it is neutral
timed it will turn the same speed in both directions. If not you will notice
a lot of arcing at the brushes and slower speed when turning against the
timing.
