The Weber DGV carbs are progressive where the secondary is mechanically linked
to the primaries and open gradually as the throttle is applied. Mine begin to
open the secondary's butterfly almost at full throttle. The performance
increase is amazing at full throttle and at +3500 RPM. I have no problem with
"drowning". My engine is freshly rebuilt, but stock.
If you would like more info on Webers look for the book "Weber Carburetors" by
Pat Braden, HP Books-774. It shows blowups and rebuild instructions. It helped
me understand carbs better.
