In TRA's Judging Standards & Restoration Guidelines there is only one
mention of the stone guards in the exterior section when it states "stone
guards (should) fit tightly against the body and in good repair". These
guards and feet are brushed aluminum and, in my opinion, should remain
natural without a clearcoat. Polished, yes but without a gloss.
