Place the car in a area where it won't hit anything.

Warm the engine with the trans in neutral.

Shut off the engine and select a top gear ( 4 th  not electric over drive 5 
th) if your starter is strong, 1 or 2 if it is soft.

Crank and start the engine with the clutch depressed.  If the clutch does not 
disengage in a few feet of car movement, roll on the throttle and stand on 
the brakes.  ( Be sure to keep the clutch depressed during this action)

When the clutch breaks free, do a few gentle starts to remove the rust.  ( 
When the sandpaper noise is gone all is well.)
