I recently obtained a Smiths dual oil/water temp gauge part number
GD1301/00 and I'm toying with the thought of installing it in my
TR3 race car. This unit uses the bulb type water temp sensor
similar to the unit used on TRs. However there is one major
difference, the packing nut that holds the sendor in place is a
female threaded nut instead of the typical mail threaded nut as
used on TRs. Would any of you out there have a Smith's catalog
and if so could you cross reference the number above to let me
know what make/model of car this gauge was originally used on?
Thanks!
