In front the brightest filiment is the turn signal.
In rear the brightest filiment is always the brake lamp.
It never hurts to know the Lucas wire insulation colour code
green/red - left side turn signals
green/white/- right side turn signals
red - Tail lamps, front marker/parking lamps
On the duel circuit lamp bases that come with with short leads, the leads
are usually green & red. The green will connect to either a green/white
wire or a green/red wire depending upon the side that you mount the lamp
base, and the red lead goes to the red lead in the harness.
