The postal service is the way to go for lighter packages though.  ~ 3.75 for 
a 2 lb pack to any US location VS  UPS  ~ 6.75 1/2 way across the country. 

If a UPS package is going to a business, shipping rates are lower than if 
they are going to a residence.
