Greetings,
        It sure was fun to get the TR6 back on the road this past 
weekend!  Finally fired up the rebuilt engine, and she's running strong.  
(Daughter entering college this fall, son in 2003 - I figured spend the 
money now, or never!)
        Maybe some of you remember my posting from last year...
        In the four years I've been driving it, this car has had a chronic 
problem with sparking over the plug wires.  It's obvious at night.  
Little sparks on the wires, under the dizzy cap, jumping from the plugs 
to the head, externally.  Idle is a little rough, of course, but she runs 
smooth on the road.  Points, rotor and cap don't last long on this car.
        I've tried everything I can think of.  Seems like a grounding 
problem, but all grounds are clean, and I've even tried adding extras.          
        Currently, I'm running a Lucas 12V coil with ballast wire bypass, 
a Pertronix ignitor, NGK plugs at .035 gap, and Bosch Silicon wires.  
In the past, I've tried green wires, bumblebee wires, various plugs at 
various gaps, reinstalling points, 6V coil with ballast in place, etc.  
Rebuilt distributor, new battery.  $Egad!$  Oh, yeh, new main wire 
harness this winter, just for fun.  I've fallen asleep late at night studying 
Dan Master's book.  I'm stumped.
        This can't be normal.
        If anyone can help me solve this, I'll be forever in your debt.
        ANY ideas will be appreciated.  I'll respond off-line to all, and 
share with the list if it's helpful.
